Artwork Guides

Get It Right the First Time

Every order at B2B Print Hub is custom printed to your exact file — so the artwork you upload is exactly what goes to press. Production begins as soon as you approve your proof, and orders can't be changed or canceled once they're in production. A few minutes reviewing this guide before you submit your file can save you a reprint, a delay, or an unwanted result.

File Requirements

  • File type: PDF (preferred), AI, EPS, or high-resolution JPG/PNG
  • Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI at full print size. Anything lower can print blurry or pixelated.
  • Color mode: CMYK, not RGB. RGB files (common from phones, Canva, and web design tools) can shift color noticeably when printed. We'll convert RGB files automatically if submitted, but final color may differ from your screen.
  • Fonts: Outline or embed all fonts before exporting to avoid missing-font errors.

Bleed & Safe Zone

  • Bleed: Extend your background/design 0.125" (1/8 inch) past the trim line on all sides. This prevents white edges if the cut shifts slightly during trimming.
  • Safe zone: Keep all text and important logos at least 0.125" inside the trim line. Anything closer risks being cut off.
  • Trim line: The final, finished size of your product — this is where we cut.

Think of it in three layers: bleed (outer edge, gets trimmed away), trim line (final size), safe zone (inner buffer for text).

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Using low-resolution images pulled from the web or social media
  • Placing text or logos too close to the edge
  • Submitting files in RGB instead of CMYK
  • Leaving fonts un-outlined, causing text to reflow or substitute
  • Forgetting bleed, resulting in white edges after trimming
  • Approving a proof without checking spelling, phone numbers, or contact details

Proof & Approval Process

Once you upload your artwork, we generate a digital proof for your review. Check it carefully — spelling, colors, layout, contact information, everything. When you approve the proof, your order enters production immediately, and at that point it can't be changed, canceled, or refunded. If something's wrong after approval, it may still qualify as a claim under our Return Policy if it's a printing error on our end, but design or content mistakes approved by you are not eligible.

Take the extra two minutes. It's worth it.
